Welcome! If you have found this website, you are likely struggling with something overwhelming in your life. My first goal is to help you feel comfortable in our therapeutic relationship so that we can address the tough issues with which you are dealing. I hope to be able to help you better connect to yourself, your partner or your family as I believe strong relationships are the foundation of healing.
I am a mental health practitioner who has been providing counseling and therapy services in the Treasure Valley since 2005. I earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 1999. While there, I received a CIVITAS Fellowship, which provided specialized training in the area of child maltreatment and trauma. Since that time, I have grown my practice to provide therapy for children, adolescents, individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues including; behavioral problems, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic pain and illness as well as general life stressors. I have advanced training to provide counseling in adoption related issues including; pre-adoption counseling, adoption adjustment, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). My goal is to help you identify the root of the problem and heal from there while providing healthy coping skills to maintain progress.
I moved to Boise from the Kansas City area with my husband and two children in 2005 and have been in private practice since 2006. I enjoy hiking, biking, reading and spending time with my family.
